Lately I have not been getting the choice to disconnect after shutting down Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. I had always had a window come up asking me if I wanted to close my connection after closing both of these applications. Now I must click on the icon in the system tray and then click disconnect. No big deal but I would like to have the window come up to remind me if I could get set it up again. Thanks.

One assumes you mean your internet connection.

Could you specify XP-Pro or XP-Home and how you connect (dial-up, cable, DSL, whatever). Lots easier to offer suggestions that way.

Sorry I wasn't all that clear. Yes I am refering to my Internet connection by way of a dial-up and I'm using XP Home Edition. Thanks again.

rsw - I haven't used dial-up for a while and don't have the appropriate boxes to look at but I seem to remember settings that controlled if your internet connection was to be broken or not when you closed various applications.

Have you look at those? May be something changed.
