Error message is displayed when opening website in Internet explorer

when i try to open website www.imd.ch in internet explorer it is giving me error message problems with this webpage might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly. In the future you can display this message by double clicking the warning icon displayed in the status bar

Same website i am able to open through mozilla.

i have taken below Actions

1 uninstalled and Reinstalled internet explorer
2 deleted temp files and cookies
3 All the settings verified
4 installed flash player and .Net Framework
5 Also i have renamed my profile but still it is giving error message

i am able to open other websites e.g google,yahoo.rediff through I.E Browser but i am unable to open the particular website i.e www.imd.ch

i have sony VAIO LAPTOP with xp os installed

I can reproduce the error on my computer using Internet Explorer 6. It looks to me like the person who coded this web page used a bit of JavaScript that is not supported by Internet Explorer 6. If I am correct in my reading of the situation there is nothing you can do at your end to fix the problem. You can make the problem less annoying by going to Tools...Internet Options and going to the Advanced tab and unchecking the box for "Display a notification about every script error." Then you won't see the errors.

These sorts of errors are fairly common and only rarely create real problems with actually using the web page. Each browser is little different and getting a web site to work perfectly in every browser is a nearly impossible task.

You could also upgrade to Internet Explorer 7, which does not appear to produce this error.

To truly fix this problem would require changing the line of JavaScript code that is causing the error, which you as a visitor to the website cannot do.
