After updating Speed fan, I have been getting this message whenever Windows opens up:
    System Information
System Information cannot open this NFO file.
It might be corrupted or an unrecognized version.
This has continued, even after uninstalling Speed Fan and cleaning the registry using System Cleaner. How can I stop this window from popping up every time Windows starts?
Similarly, though my HP scanner has a program to keep the light from remaining on, when I start Windows, the folder pops up and needs to be exited. This is in startup as HPLAMPC, but is to start without popping up a folder. Any ideas on this one?

Click on Start->Run and type: msconfig

Look in the Startup tab for references to both items and uncheck them.

The HPLAMPC is there, but it is supposed to run on startup; it just doesn't need to show the HP folder that needs to be closed. If I unclick it, aren't I disabling the program that turns off the lamp? System Information isn't listed there, so that must be triggered by something else.
