I have this mouse hooked up to my Dell XPS and it has worked fine for several months; today I was working on a spreadsheet and got a warning that the signal was getting low and intead of troubleshooting it continued. It died...

I have changed the battery and tried all the troubleshooting tips from Intellipoint and Vista (home premium); I've pushed the tiny button on the bottom of the mouse, I've pushed the tiny button on the bottom of the thingy plugged into the USB port, I've tried different USB ports but nothing works. Right now I have hooked up and old mouse and have to switch between mouse and keyboard to do anything.

    Any help would be appreciated.

No answers here, but I finally turned my computer off in disgust and walked away. When I came back a couple hours later, the mouse was working again...

Christine (maybe this posting will help someone else):D

Hi, Chris , I have the same mouse STD Microsoft mouse and it was faultering ( stopping) and I did all the same as you , I found it did it when I had the GPS plugged in near it , if I shifted the mouse base away from that area it came back to life, also have noted that camera or Phone will make it jerky when connected.
    Cheers Des.:)
