IE6 slow opening [Solution posted]

Hope this may help somebody.
Found a forum that suggested removing Google Bar.
Tried it and it cured the problem.

Hi,

I found this board after searching to see if anyone else was experiencing the same slow down in IE 6 - with links.
My problem sounded exactly the same - had been fine until sometime in the last 3 weeks. I was away and when I got back there was a definite change.

(I could go and play a free cell game while waiting for some of the links to open...)

Removing the Google tool bar also worked for me. Google must have made some recent change that reacted to something else on my computer?

Thanks for posting the answer. All is well again, but I have started using Firefox a lot more than I used to.
