computer locks up

    when i try to exit yahoo games my machine locks up and cpu usage goes to 100 percent. i have multiple accounts on my machine, and this only happens on my account. what can i do to fix this?

    but there is no one else on the computer at the time, the other accounts are for my son and nephew and are inactive at the time. can this still be a corrupt profile? thanks for input.

    Yes - I would think so. Easy enough to create a new profile and test.

    Note ....

    As a new member with less than 10 posts any post you make which contains a URL requires approval (moderation) before it is visible. There was a message to this effect when you signed up.

    i followed petec advice and recreated the account and it worked. all seems to be working well now, i will monitor it and post again if the problem reappears. thanks again pete.

    well it seems the problem has started again. same thing, computer locks up and cpu usage goes to 100 percent.

    thanks again pete. tried deleting and reinstalling java thinking maybe that somehow got corrupted. will test for a few days and repost results.
