When I send a message it goes to the outbox and then to sent items. I have confirmed that it is not being sent. I have double checked all settings and they are correct. The outgoing server does not require authentication. I have uninstalled Norton antivirus. When I "Test Account Settings" all tasks are completed except "send test e-mail message" which shows up as "failed "

The error reads "The specified server was found, but there was no response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is correct... "

Incoming server pop3 is 110 and outgoing server (SMPT) is 25.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Still sounds like an incorrect address in the account. Have you tried contacting your ISP and see if they can help?

Look at your accounts and make sure that you don't have a , instead of a . or for a typo. Been there, done that.

Is this your home pc and your using the pc at your home?

Example: If you take a home pc with your homes ISP SMPT settings to a different location with a different ISP you'll get an error like that.

It is my home lap top at my home's settings. We have found that the error follows any computer at my house. I have brought the laptop to work and my guess is that it will work fine here, narrowing it down to the outgoing port being blocked at my house for some reason. I will report back.

Thank you both for your help.

Steve, I some time take my "Home" laptop to work and log onto another ISP. I also can receive mail with outlook express, but cannot send mail from there while at work. What would I need to change at work in order to send mail with OLE?

retiredfrmdeere - you have to change the SMTP settings to match the office's ISP SMTP settings.

Try changing SMTP port from 25 to 587.
