Ok Ive read several post of the msi missing and it seems to range from photogallery to various othr programs. I keep reading that it was bad install and coruption. I have a diff. theory. Ive deleted photogallery already and now the missing msi has hit yet another program. I run windows cleaner thingy and well , it seems I will contintue deleting stuff in the future.

Now its in a constant loop of trying to boot up Sonic CD burn program which I havn't used in months. No Idea why it started that. I noticed that from time to time I kept getting an message to PUT in my sd card. So I finally did to see what was trying to download and pc went frozen so I rebooted and now a constant loop show of Sonic cd cannot install bla bla bla..fyi Sonic cd has been in the pc for like 2 years. Why now?

I think there is a very crafty little virus that does this. Why so many post with such large degree of programs all having msi issues?? Sorry for long post. Just frustraited at pc.

Spybot and avg and secret maker all give pc clean bill of health.

    by the way

I would actually like to keep this program for use in the future. It was part of my package and I do not have a seperate cd. anyway around this dang msi loop without deleting the entire program with windows cleaner? Thanx in advance.

EgyptianKings - Welcome to the Board :)

Coincidentally I had a very similar problem with Sonic a few weeks ago - right out of the blue - an endless install loop. I have no idea of the cause - I suspect maybe an interaction with a Windows update somewhere down the line. I hadn't used Sonic for a couple of years - it was on the laptop on which I burn rarely.

My solution - uninstall Sonic and install Nero 7 Essentials from a cover DVD - issue resloved.

    Done Deal

Yea ive been using nero myself for a while. I completely forgot I had the soncic program. Thing is it looked like a decent program once I have been reminded I had it hehe. Oh well. its gone now and the loop is gone to.

But hears what worries me now. How long till the next loop occurs. 1st it was photoshop (and its not because of my printer). then the sonic. hrmm.

Anways thanx I sacrificed the program. I do use nero.
