I have two computers connected by a LAN cable (10/100), and have remote destop installed on bothe of them. But I'm facing a problem adding remote users to each of them. When I search for the remote users it only shows me local ones. Though I have the LAN fully operational and could access the shared folders on each of them from the other. I even did several test pings and all returned no errors

    Can anybody help??

You don't need to search on a 2 station system.

Just use the correct logon for the other PC.

If you are using PC A to connect to PC B, then on PC A in the RDP login use the same username and password that you use on PC B to boot up.

But your problem is likely one of the below.

In System properties on both click Remote and make sure under
Remote desktop Allow users to connect remotely to this computer, is checked.

In the Windows Firewall make sure that RDP is allowed by checking an exception for it.

Finally if you are not using passwords on these computers then you need to set one on each as RDP requires a password.
