i bought this Saitek eclipse keyboard couple months ago and today when i turned on my pc and tried to type, i notice something odd. when i hold down a key, it only types it once. for example when i hold on to the backspace to erase a whole sentence, it erases one letter and stops...so i have to release the key wait couple secs to erase another letter. this problem applies to all my keys. any1 know a solution?

    601x106 - Welcome to the Board :)

First step is to determine whether or not the keyboard is at fault or the software.

You have checked Repeat Rate settings - Control Panel > Keyboard?

Can you try another keyboard ? If that behaves uninstall and re-install any keyboard software which came with the Saitek.

Would suspect that either the second keyboard is malfunctioning or there is a port problem - PS/2 or USB ?

If you have access to a PS/2 keyboard - frim a friend? - try that as a test.

Have you tried other USB ports on the computer?

Try a reload of the USB controllers .....

Device Manager > scroll down to Universal Serial Bus controllers and expand by clicking on the + sign.

Right click on each controller and root hub and select remove/uninstall - reboot and Windows will reinstall them.

It could be - what sort of monitor is it - CRT or flatscreen (LCD). On the other hand it may be a problem with your graphics card or drivers.

Check the power and video cable connections at both ends - unplug and replace.
