Windows Vista vista format

    Iam trying to install windows vista. but it says i need to format the hard drive in NTFS. How do i change it from fat 32?

    In the Command Prompt window, type convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs, where drive_letter is the letter of the drive you want to convert, and then press ENTER. For example, convert E: /fs:ntfs would convert drive E to the NTFS format.

    format

    I don't have command promt. i did a complete low format of the hard drive, and all i have is fat32 partition. the boot disk i used was a win me, boot disk. and it just has fat 32. where can i get a boot disk that has NTFS on it.

    Your Vista dvd is bootable and should take of everything for you.

    Thats what i thought, but it says i have to have a NTFS partition., thats all the furthur i got.

    It should give you the option to Delete the partitions and will then prompt you to create a new one(s) and format.
