Question re: logon

    Hi: just other day when I turned on the pc, it asked for my name to continue. I used tweakui for xp for remove that part of the logon. Unfortunately that did not solve it. I am the only user so just seeing the welcome screen with no logon would be preferable.

    Try this approach ....

    Start > Run > control userpasswords2 > Enter and uncheck 'Users must enter ....'

    Hi again PeteC: "uncheck 'Users must enter" was not checked. I rebooted in safe mode and Admin and my name came on desktop. I checked if tweakui was set to autologon and it was not. Fixed tweakui autologon and rebooted and all is well now. Thanks
