possible to password protect folders????

    is it possible at all to password protect your folders in windows xp pro, i was able to do it in windows 98 and nt4, can it be done in xp or are there any third party utilities that can do this?:confused:

    XP can either protect your folders and files through NTFS permissions or through encryption.

    hi bursley,

    i am on a network, there are certain folder's that i would like to keep to myself when i share drives, i know that you can share individual foldes, but is it possible to password protect without encryption and if so, how is it done.
