    Hi Guys.......

I have connected 2 PC (both Win XP) thru a local modem.
    IP add i have given 192.168.0.2 & 3 (Mask 255.25.255.0)
    Work group are same.
I can not see the computer in the workgroup.
192.168.0.3 is pinging the 192.168.0.2, but the 0.2 is not pinging the 0.3.
In that one sent packets are about 300 but received packets are very low..2-5.
Mcafee is running in that PC. Windows firewall is off, i do not any firewall in Mcafee.

    Anybody can help me?

    Thanx is advance.

    Hi imamit76

Modem?? Do you mean Router or switch or hub?

More info on your connections. How are cables connected?

Does one of the computers have Internet?

Is both "Client for Microsoft Networks" and "File and printer Sharing" installed in Local Area Connection of both machines?

    Mike

The problem is solved. In the other machine the symantec firewall was creating the problem...
