    Hello,
I always was able to write to CD's. Another user on the computer was burning CD's and says she changed programs and now I find I cant write to them anymore. When I put in CD in computer says there is no space left on the CD, says I have to format new blank CD, and generally doesnt write. I used to have a wizard that did the write...not there now.

    Help and thanks...
    Dave

Can you identify the program which the other user installed to write CD's - Nero, Roxio, Sonic .....? Look in the Programs list and do you see a program called InCd - which is designed to be used with formatted CD's - rather like using the CD as a giant floppy.

If you identify the program can you open it up and burn a CD from there?

The Wizard you saw in the past is probably the native XP CD writing applet. In My computer right click on the CD writer > Properties > Recording tab - is 'Enable CD writing on this drive checked?
