I couldn't find any help using search, but maybe I'm not using the right keywords. I can no longer use Windows Update; I keep getting the 0x8DDD0003 error. When trying to run gpedit.msc, I get a can't find file message. Maybe this isn't included in XP Home? Any ideas? I'm probably ready for a reinstall of the OS? Thanks

No to the first question, and yes to the second. I run SpySweeper, Ad-Aware, and Spybot almost daily. For years with no issues. This is a problem that was OK one day, then not the next. I used to run Windows Update weekly. Thanks

Thanks to Whiskeyman; the link he provided got me back onto the Update page. I'm up to date now. Thanks again
