Not sure if this is the right place to post this but anyway, was given a HP533w pc running XP SP1.I took this to give to my 10 y/o daughter. It was freezing after booting up and I concluded too many programs running and not enough memory to run them.I added memory and fixed that problem.I then bought a pci wireless card to connect to my home network. After installing the software and then the card, instructions said to reboot to finish installation of software. But on reboot a blue screen appeared saying, "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer." BAD_POOL_CALLER. At the bottom of page it says Technical information:***STOP:0x00000002 (0x00000040,0x00000000,0x80000000,0x00000000)
What is BAD_POOL_CALLER and how can I fix this problem?I actually have another pc (my sons) with the same problem but not sure of the technical info right now.His pc had no new hardware or software installed when this screen appeared.Hopefully if I can get the first one resolved,i'll be able to do the 2nd one myself. Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

It's either a hardware or a hardware driver problem. If you can exchange the card for another, that may solve the prob.; otherwise go to mfg's site and download the newest driver for XP.

Will try downloading the latest drivers from linksys site.I tried a usb card before the pci card and the same thing happened so I don't think its the hardware.
