I'm using Outlook 2002 and Windows ME. Is there any way I can force all my mail to appear in plain text format, with any other html content coming as attachments? I know I can do this for the mail I send, but what if I want it also for the mail I receive?

I used to use Lingomail (a mail client) that brings me all my mail in text only, and everything else as attachment(s). Can I do that with Outlook 2002 or OutlookExpress 6?

I don't believe you can do this in Outlook or OE. However if you're worried about getting a virus or worm, you can have OE run in the Restricted Sites Zone, which will keep it from opening scripts.

Thanks cybernut, it worked great. But I had to download and install service pack 1 before this can work. Thanks for your very useful link. Now at last Outlook 2002 gets all my Emails in plai text only, everything else as attachments and links.

    Thanks again cybernut!
