Worm.Win32.NetSky

I keep getting this message my computer is infected with above virus. I have turned of system restore and ran trend micro yet couldnt get the virus. I cant access internet as keeps putting me to an unsafe website. Is there anything i can do or should i wipe whole system and just start again?? i am computer illiterate

Suggest you try to download the Netsky Removal Tool from Symantec and run it according to their instructions.

For the record, and despite the recommendation by Symantec, System Restore should have been left alone until your machine was cleaned up. An infected restore point is better than none at all, if there's any concern about losing data. Please make sure it is enabled now.

 

Thanks - i have downloaded removal tool and will give it a go tonite after work. I willpost up my results tomorrow (Australian time). I have noted the system restore issue and will do as you suggest.
