I've been using PS7 for several years. Suddenly, I cannot get the Paint Bucket tool to show in the tool window. I'm trying to use it on a TIF photo but I tried it on a simple JPG also. I have a hand showing where the bucket used to be but cannot get the icon of the bucket

    tenbob,
Please explain what you mean by Bucket Tool.

My PSP7, which I've also had for several years, shows a Flood Fill Icon Tool, and a Airbrush Icon Tool. I do not indicate anywhere a Bucket tool.

I used the term bucket because that term was used in a book I have. It is a picture of a bucket tipped over with liquid spilling out of it. It appeared in the tool display at the side of the screen where the other tools display: brushes, pencils, Abc (for text) etc.

    tenbob,

See this and advise if this is what you are referring to.

    Hi Irdreed,

The OP says he is using PS7 which I take to mean Photoshop 7 not PSP7!
In PS7 the bucket is the Paint Bucket tool, which does the same job as the flood fill in PSP.

    Tenbob,

The first thing to try is deleting the preferences for PS. To do this press and hold Alt + Control + Shift immediately after starting PS, you will be prompted to delete the current settings. If this doesn't work we'll have to think again.

    Roger;)

    Thanks Roger

That did it - I hope I didn't lose too many other settings but I can fix that:D
