I have Windows XP and IE 6 on my computer. Can anyone tell me how to save all my Favorites to a floppy or CD-RW disk and then install these Favorites on to a new computer and have them placed in the Favorites file on the new computer? Thank you very much.

I think the easiest way is to export Favorites into a file, save that file and then import that file into the new system's Internet Explorer.

In the old IE, go to File>Import and Export>Export Favorites and step through the wizard, telling it to export the entire Favorites folder. Name the file whatever you like and remember where you save it.

Then burn that file to CD.

Then use IE's File>Import and Export feature on the new system, this time telling it to Import. Point it at the file you saved on the CD as the file to import from.

To Miz: Thank you for your message. You say: "Point it at the file you saved on the CD.... ". Please tell me specifically how to point it at the file I saved on the CD. Thank you very much. abm

During the export function, it asks You where you'd like to save the file. You can save it anywhere - like your desktop.

When you use the Import wizard, it will reach a window where it will ask where you want to import from. Use the browse button to navigate to the location of the file you made when you exported.
