missing icon

    I accidentally deleted my volume control icon in my task bar now I have no sound and no matter what I do I can't get the icon back. any suggestions please

    Have you checked in Device Manager for any indication of a problem with the sound system? The speaker icon will not appear if the sound drivers or hardware have a problem that prevent them from working.

    you can try to format your PC and everything will be freshly at the place.
    Before i had delete my "Show Desktop" icon, and format the whole pc, and now is great.. everything there.

    MUZIC - People ONLY format their pc's when they are desperate. Getting the Show Desktop icon back is easy..

    coachmick - Control Panel->Sounds->can you adjust the volume there? Does the "Place icon in Taskbar" hhave a check mark in it?

    i always format pc when there is error or something crash badly..
    most of the time are virus attack..
    hehe... ^^
    bcos i m not good at fixing programme, so i decide the easiest way for me to get rid of my problem. :rolleyes:
