My mom got Charter Cable internet a few months back. When the charter guy set up the wireless, he used WEP. When other family members wanted to use it, of course they couldn't because no one knew the WEP code. I re-set the modem, set it up from scratch, changed the security to none, and all worked fine EXCEPT....

Each time she tries to connect, she is prompted that WEP is not being used...check if you want to still use it. I'm very new to Vista. My question/problem: How can I clear or re-set the wireless "memory" in Vista so it no longer ask. I've had her disconnect and re-connect to the wireless network to no avail. She just wants to boot and use the wireless.

Hope that makes some sense. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I want to say I did that....but it's been awhile since I was down there.

I'll give that a shot and see what happens.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
