Anyone have a clue as to which specific position the jumper should be in to make my year 2003 WD800 harddrive a slave?

These things are tricky, and I'd love it if someone could help me save some time and frustration.

    It would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

If you have internet, search or go to the web page for the manufacturer of the hard drive, i.e. Seagate hard drive would be Seagate.com, then search the web page for the model of the hard drive.

    Master/slave jumper settings

90% of the time the jumper setting are on a label attached to the drive. It should be on the bottom towards the back or sometimes on the top. If there is nothing listed then you'll need to visit WD's website for this information.
