I just got around to installing Ad-Aware and after running it I got a critical item issue with Malware and a Firefox bookmark.

I have gotten it before when running Ad-Aware but not everytime. I think it must be when I change PC's and initially run Ad-AWare It doesn't tell you which bookmark it pertains to so I can't pin it down.

Has anyone else had this issue and how do I figure out which Bookmark is causing this?

I got so fed up with Adaware2007, and its antics in trying to update that I uninstalled it. I am sure that I never saw it complaining about a bookmark, although when I had it set up to report potential spyware coming from the cookies, which are deposited when a page is open, I saw a lot of "infections ". I unchecked the cookies report, and, I never got any more infections. This was suggested to me at another site. The bookmark is not the problem per se, but the page which it opens is, or could be.
I use Windows Defender, which is part of WinXP, and a couple other programs, all of which work fine. I, periodically, go to Tools|Options|Privacy|show cookies, and delete all cookies which are related to ads, or what I don't recognize. I may do a search first.
I don't have Adaware2007, any more, but when there is a report, the next Tab (to the right) should give it information about what is not good.
But, cookies are a necessary evil.

Well, when I continued not being able to access a certain web site I got rid of Ad-A-Ware, Spybot and Zone Alarm. At that point I was able to determine that
Ad-A-Ware 2007 was the real problem. Never going to use that again.

I've also dumped Ad-aware for many of the reasons cited above. It's yesterday's answer.
