    Hi all,
My partner just bought a laptop with Windows Vista (which I am completely unfamiliar with) and this is driving me crazy. I understand that *somehow* the TV tuner is supposed to be configured/setup through Windows Media Centre. I have followed instructions from the Microsoft website as far as the "select TV" option goes, but there is no TV option in our Media Centre! I simply can't find anywhere in Media Centre where I can configure the TV tuner.
Before you ask, yes, it *does* have a TV tuner ;)

Any idea how I can get this thing working? When I try the remote control that came with the laptop (pressing the TV Tuner button for Media Centre) I just get an error message.

    Cheers,
    S

Do you have the cable line connected to the TV card?

I don't have cable, I have an antenna that came with the laptop - this is what I have plugged into the TV Card.

Any idea how to setup/access the TV functionality through media centre, or why the options don't seem to be there?

The Automatic TV Signal Setup Wizard may detect an antenna connection as a set-top box in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

Looks like you need to locate the TV Signal Setup Wizard...There are more articles at MS Knowledgebase.
