Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me with this.
First off, I'm using Windows 98 (first edition) with Internet explorer 6 sp1

I downloaded the latest versions of flash player and shockwave player (10)

and if I go to certain game sites that use shockwave, my browser crashes with this error message in the details:

IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in
    module KERNEL32.DLL at 015f:bff8abea.

I tried downloading older versions of shockwave hoping that would help, but all that happened was the page I go to tells me I need to download the latest version of flash player. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything several times to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated with this annoying problem.

    Thanks in advance. :)

I had though of doing that as maybe a last resort, but I've been using IE since I first came on the web and I'm kind of stuck on it. I never had this kind of problem with shockwave and IE in years past.

It's worth to try another browser like Firefox to eliminate some possibilities.

If you're thinking about FF3, it's in beta stage, so, obviously has some bugs, however I've been using it on Windows XP for a while without any serious problem.
Just get FF2, which is current, stable version.
