Thanks Ramona, I did as you suggested. But now I get "access permission denied" when I click the Application Data folder. I looked at the security settings and it says I should have access (read/write) for my profile name. Vista sure is fun................
Any clue how to access the folder?

**edit**I got it working, thanks Ramona for your help.

Thanks for the link. I'm dual booting XP/Vista. Loaded Vista so I can learn it because my friends keep asking me questions about it. Don't know why Microsoft renamed and changed so many little things. The learning curve is really taking me for a ride. I feel like I'm in kindergarten again.

    Swedeman,

I saw your thread in the Vista Forum, so figured you would get it worked out! What did you do to get rid of the error?

I have a Vista upgrade CD from Dell, but waiting until SP2 to give it a try! ;)

When I tried to load it the proper way from inside XP, it kept giving me a error message about the boot.ini file not being able to be updated (if I remember correctly) and then it would just stop. I finally gave up the "right" way and booted from the CD and loaded it from there. Didn't put in the product key the first time it loaded, then from within Vista I installed Vista again and that time entered the product key. Microsoft put that backdoor way in and so I used it.
When you do upgrade, be ready for a whole new ballgame. Nothing really major, but a whole lot of new ways of doing things. Like the link you gave me, they renamed folders/ways. First thing I did was turn off the UAC to stop those stupid popups. I loaded AVG anti-virus and Comodo firewall so the UAC isn't that necessary.
    Hopes this helps.

Yeah, UAC was one of the first thing, I got rid of in Vista.
