Botnet: Are we secured by Firewall and Noton 360 All-in-One Security?

I am using Norton 360 v1.3 (not v2.0) All-in-One Security on Windows Vista and access Internet via ADSL wireless router with firewall on. The signature file is updated once a day.

Is it being well protected from Botnet? If not, what else can I do?

Aside from maybe some additional non resource using apps, like either of the following hosts files:

• MVPS Hosts File
• hpHosts

Or a toolbar like either SiteAdvisor or SiteHound you're ok. As long as you don't surf in the red zone. And if you do, you're cautious.

I'd maybe add an on demand scanner, like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Spybot Search & Destroy v1.5 or Ad-Aware 2007
