I would like to get Windows Live Mail. However, I am not sure about the difference between Hot mail and Web mail. We use Outlook Express. I know the mail we have now is downloaded to our mail boxes, not kept on the server. Is that what is considered Web mail? If I install Windows Live Mail, will we still have the same type of mail or will it become Hot mail? I did check FAQ.
    Thanks, Twinke

Assuming the email account you're using with Outlook Express right now is an account from your internet provider, getting a Windows Live Mail account shouldn't have any effect on your current account.

The Windows Live account would be an entirely seperate account and unless you set up OE to access it, the only way to check it would be by using IE, Firefox or whatever browser you use. It's what is called web mail and is similar to Hotmail but it won't become your default email account. The account you have in OE is a POP email account, not web mail. It should remain as it is now.
