Try to clean browser cache, and internet temporary files.

i tried both of those things, but its still happening.

another weird thing thats been happening for a while, is some images (only some) wont show up on certain websites. i mostly notice it on this one forum i visit. Its really weird, because some will, but some wont. Just today, i noticed a new one show up for a split second, then flicker away.

I just checked the advanced settings of my IE6, to make sure something didnt disable image viewing... and nothing is weird in there.

i thought maybe this problem could have something to do with the icon problem, since they both deal with pictures of sorts.

Do you have any ideas of other things to try? I just cleaned up some spyware last night.

Are images, which are not showing up red X-ed, or just blank? Did you try Firefox?

i have a small update... my laptop (completely different computer, but still with XP) is having the same trouble with viewing some images...

so now i know its not just my desktop.

so this makes me ask the question of what could it be? the only things the 2 computers have in common that have to do with the internet is the ISP and the router... could it possibly be either of these?
