I just purchased a laptob which has Windows Vista installed. My Desktops have Windows XP. Can I do any file transfers from my Desktop to my Laptop?

Hi, Joe. I chuckled at your location. :D

I have no experience doing what you want but I was in Best Buy last nite and noticed they sell a cable that is supposedly for easy transfer of settings and such (if I recall correctly) from a Windows XP machine to a Windows Vista machine. I suppose it could be used for easy file transfers too.

Would probably be best to wait for input from others though before you consider purchasing such a cable.
