I was just wondering if this is possible, and if so, if it's no trouble at all, can I get an explaination for this process?

I have purchased a retail version of Windows Vista Home Premium, and as there are many issues I am experiencing with my current computer configuration, I was just wondering if it was possible to delete my currently installed Windows Vista and re-use this version of Windows Vista on another computer with the same cd-key?

When you attempt to activate it on the other pc you'll get an error about it beig in use on another pc. You'll then have to phone Microsoft and explain...There's a good chance they'll help you.

The online activation will complete without problem, since it'll recognize it is being installed on the same machine.

I just ran into this issue today and it was no problem at all. I had a retail version of Home Premium installed on my old rig which melted down recently. When I inistalled Vista on the new rig and went to activate it I got the message that I had to buy a new CD key. I just called MS tech support - surprisingly on a Saturday afternoon and didn't even wait long on hold - the rep just asked me to verify that I was only installing on 1 machine, said "Okey Doke" and gave me a new product ID. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes! :D
