I can´t edit ports in win.ini

    I want to edit ports in win.ini but i can see the section [PORTS] in win.ini i want to change the parameters the my modem port.:confused:

    Depending on what you want to change, why not modify the properties of the com port in Device Manager?

    MY wild guess.

    If XP is similiar to 98 ME ( which I think is as far as DOS goes ) there may not be any [PORTS] section.

    They are DOS settings which ME did not allow so I doubt that XP would either.
