ZA Security Suite and PDF files

    A few days ago I installed ZA Security Suite and now I can't open or download any PDF files, even in totally reputable web-sites like Revenue and Customs and Zone Labs itself. Also, I can't get in to the ZA tutorial and program downloads are blocked. The message is "the page has been blocked ". This is a major problem for me - please help.

    Standard Windows PC, XP Home Edition. I use both IE7 and Firefox 2.0.0.12 as web browsers and OE for email.

    Hello TeenieB,

    I don't know whether you've solved this or not, but if still a problem:

    In the firewall section of the Suite, there should be tabs. Go to the Privacy tab > Mobile Code Control > Custom > Mobile Code and uncheck everything - see if that's the problem.

    Also see if Cookies and Add blocking are giving you the problem and uncheck those.

    Then you can re check some of those settings and narrow it down.

    Thanks for bothering to reply, Charles. Eventually I managed to find something on the ZoneLabs web-site which recommended the same changes as you have and it seems to have worked. I was a bit concerned about leaving these three unchecked but apparently it's OK, and I've had no trouble since.

    Other than that glitch I'm very pleased with the ZA Security Suite. Much less intrusive than Norton and the Spam filter is great. It has cut down the junk mail by about 90%.
