Is Sea Monkey just an updated version of Netscape?

I read the posts that Netscape is a thing of the past but the interface on SeaMonkey sure looks like the old Netscape I used to use.

If you can read my answer, fine. If not, waiting for someone else.
Basically, Netscape7.x was developed from Mozilla. Netscape7.2 was the last Netscape suite, i.e. browser and mail, and more. That was equivalent to Mozilla1.7.2. Mozilla was updated 11 times, and, then, officially, they went to the standalones, Firefox and Thunderbird. But, some people liked the idea of the Suite, and continued with Seamonkey. Seamonkey was updated 18 times, leaving NS7.2 twenty eight updates behind.
Since Netscape is nothing but a branded Mozilla, and Seamonkey continued the Mozilla development, one cannot say that Seamonkey is an updated Netscape, but rather an updated Mozilla, and, thus, related to Netscape.
