Hi guys, I am having problems getting windows to boot. I get the blue screen upon booting, windows never starts. As you probably know it says i should uninstall virus protection software and run chkdsk /f .... my question is how the heck do i do that if i cant windows to open at all or get to a DOS prompt? The only changes I have done to the PC was add an additional stick of RAM about 4 weeks prior to this problem. I had a total of 3 gigs, I have switched out the sticks to see if it would boot, it did not. Is this a lost cause? Any idea what I can do? I am pretty much a noob when it comes to detailed PC operation terms and lingo...
