OK, basically, the last component of my new computer got here, so my bro and I hooked everything up, ******* everything in, and made sure everything was working. It powered up just fine, we went through bios, then it went to the Windows Loading Screen, the floopy drive light went solid, and it just stopped.

After a few trial and error, removing things, switching things around, it won't boot at all. No display comes up, nadda. All we've got in there is the video card and 256 PC2700 RAM strip, and te computer beeps signaling it's not seeing the RAM.

We then set the jumpers from "auto" to what they're supposed to be, and the beeping stops, but still no video picture. I tried pulling the RAM out and booting in that same manner, and, go figure, the beep signaling "no RAM detected" didn't go off.

I have no clue what's going on. But we went from freezing at Windows Boot Screen, to nothing starting up at all....

I can provide whatever info you need, just lemme know. Thanks.

    Motherboard: ASUS AS7333 ATX
    Processor: AMD 1.8Ghz 2200XP
Video Card: Voodoo 5500 AGP 64 Meg
    RAM: PC2700 256 DDR

If the floppy light is on constant - then your FDD data cable is connected wrong.

Try yanking all IDE & floppy cables - (with pwr off!) and see if it will boot to a BIOS POST screen. (memory must be properly installed for this test to work.

I would go back to basics.
Put all the jumpers back to auto and MAKE sure your floppy disc cable is connected correctly. If the light stays on........it is connected backwards!!

When in doubt - pull it out!

Go back to the most basic of basics. Clear CMOS, reset BIOS for setup, reseat your video card and memory, check your cables and power cords - fire that puppy up.

    ;)

Also try reseating the main power connectors to the motherboard. If still nothing, I'd try swapping the Power Supply Unit before I'd blame the motherboard.

Yeah, it does sound like it could easily be a power problem. Reseat the ATX power connector to the mobo. Make sure that the I/O switch on the back of the PSU is set to I - if it has one.

I might ask if it's plugged in but I don't have my fire retardant suit on! :D

Chiles, i'm not THAT stupid =)

it turns on fine, exhaust fans and CPU fans work fine, but nothing happens after that...

I tried an officially supported RAM strip, and the **** PC SPeaker is still beeping saying it has no RAM, and there's still no video signal =(
