    Thanks for the info.
Please pass along any solutions / program updates offered by "My Lockbox ". Have not replaced MS short lived "My Private Folder" install / uninstall.

Received this response from FSPRO .....
Rather unsurprisingly Hide Folders XP threw up the same problem.

Not enough server storage is available error

I am having the same problem as previously on this thread, have tried most normal "fixes" short of going back really far on the system restore. I am wondering if this has occurred via an windows update. I have done the irpstack size route - but not up to 50 yet (12) - do not have nortons anything on pc (had ghost previously) running Bit Defender 10 virus protection on an AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+ 2.2 GHz system, 2 Gb ram (which I just changed today) as I wondered it this was a memory problem. Even reinstalled network settings - still got problem. Very annoying as I normally synch my notebook and desk pc as I move around a lot - for a while the notebook could "see" the "C" drive but not currently. This error only affects accessing the "C" and all the other shared drives (3 of them) are still available!!

    Any new suggestion here? :(

Not enough server storage is available

    Hello :D

I did a system restore back to 14 Feb which was prior to the most recent windows update - and all is back and working! "Software Distribution Service 3" appears to have been the problem.

I will be changing my auto update settings to keep an eye on this!

    a1photo - Welcome to the Board :)

Thanks for your input - you don't mention if you had My Lockbox installed. That is what caused the error message on my network and uninstalling it removed the error. It was totally reproducible.

As you can see from the post dates this problem occurred prior to last Patch Tuesday and those patches have been without issue for me.

Not enough server storage is available

    Hi Pete,

No I did not have Lockbox installed. Further - nothing had been added to or changed on my system for several weeks - so nothing to reallly blame other than this update. It was very strange that it only applied to my main PC "C" drive - meaning that the other PC's on my home network could access all the drives on my main machine and I could access the one PC, but not my notebook

    Regards

The only possible explanation I can put forward is that I am running Service Pack 3 and may not have received the same update at all or in the same form.

Not enough server storage is available

    Hi Pete

What I am going to do is let the update come thru again, but under my control - ie I will do a system check point before I install again and see what happens. I have since upgraded my harddrive - using Acronis True Image Home (Awesome Software!!) - with no hassles at all - all network drives working fine! Will post the findings here when I get to it - but have a lot of work to do the next 2 weeks!
    Regards

Not enough server storage is available

    Take 2........

I spoke too soon - no sooner had I finished my last post when I discovered the same error had occured again!

This time the culprit was Acronis Tru Image Home 11 - I had installed this as a 15 demo on my notebook to do a hard drive upgraded test - to clone the old drive to the new. This is when the error started. Some how this was blocking the network call from my main PC to the notebook.

I installed the same software on my main pc - late last night - (I had done the synchronisations that I needed earlier) and then had a reciprocal error on my notebook! It only affects the "C" drives in the machines, as all other drives on the network were available.

Perhaps both these software items are somehow "locking up" the "C" drives?

Hope this sheds some light on the problem.

I will re-install the Acronis on a need to basis and then remove when done for now!

    Regards
    Anne
