ie7 cant install

Read Bill Castner's Dec 06 dialogs.. tried below - no success yet, so need more help, thanx. [pc runs xp]

conditions:
-no ie ver's exist on pc
-ie7 shows in control/add-rem but no file size exists
-removed ie7... saw files being removed, register re-config'd, etc
-ie7 setup rests on desktop now
-no ie7 icon ever appeared
-no programs causing conflict seem to be on pc

no go:
-safe mode
-running WGA
-checked administrator - i'm ok
-turned off anti-spyware
-un-checked "install ie7 updates" during install
-ran on guest user also
-downloaded ie7 fr 2 diff places
-used "Glary's" registry cleaner

***I meant I removed what showed in cntr/add-rem; it showed on the left but nothing on the right of screen

Well, for those who use mozilla - this may be interesting...
I tried installing ie7 yesterday... ie7 icon was not anywhere...and in cntrl/add-rem no file data given... and no listing in start/all programs

But mozilla took on a differerent look - kind of an adulterated-by-google look

Anyway, I ignored mozilla..

Today I happened to do for the 1st time: my computer/c:/programs ... and voila there was ie7.. which I sent to desktop as shortcut. Done. At this moment ie7 is not listed in start/all programs.. and in cntr/add-rem it's on the left but not on the right in file size area...

And, at no time incl now... has " ie7 " showed up in start/search... but what I had yesterday was some Explore files with like 10k data.. date said 2004/2005 .. I dunno...
