unable detect hardisk by XP, but Bios can

    My bios able to dectect harddisk
    My XP can't
    At first, i saw New drive pop out once at below right.
    Then i never see again.
    " My computer" also don't have
    " Control Panel" Device Manager" also can't find

    I using 750GB harddisk brand new.
    never format. how to dectect and format?

    What type of hard disk - PATA or SATA and what type is your existing hard drive?

    It needs partitioning/formatting:

    Right-click My Computer > Manage > Disk Management, now right-click the graphic of the drive to set it up.
