Ok I'm at the end of my rope not sure how to progress from here. Well anyway my problem is this. I'm running Win 2K Adv. Server at home and I was able to play Dark Age of Camelot for awhile then all of a sudden it started booting out "Render Creation Failure" messages at me and was unable to start. No big deal I played from another computer didn't give it a second thought. Anyway now I'm trying to play Diablo II from my server and I've discovered that the problem is in Direct 3D. Well I run dxdiag and run a direct draw test no problem but, when I run a direct 3D test I get "Failure at step 8 (creating 3D Device): HRESULT=0x887602eb (Error Code) ". So I tried reinstalling my graphic card's drivers (Nvidia GeForce 2 GTS v.3.0.8.2) didn't fix it. I try reinstalling Direct X 8.1 didn't fix it. Now short of reinstalling not sure what else I can do. Now keep in mind that I didn't always have this problem, I'm not sure how I encountered it, but now I need to get rid of it. Any advice :D

Scroll most of the way down this page and see if garett's solution works for you?

Thanks for the help but still no luck...

I've started Net Meeting enabled/disabled desktop sharing. Still no luck. Has anyone else found any other ideas?

Did you go through all those posts? There were a few other suggestions peppered through out it?
