We have a SMB server 2003 with a Server Standard member server which we just moved the file hosting to. I tried to move the Exchange server stores to the new server but if gives me path not found and, must use a fixed drive errors. Is there any way to move Exchange server stores to a member server that is not a storage server?

    Thanks

I never heard of any one placing the actuall information store on a different server than exchange is installed on.

Ideally you would want seperate disk RAID 5 setup on the same server and place the information store there.

We are using RAID 1 on both servers. The RAID 1 on one of the servers has been very slow and flaky lately however. That is why i wanted to move. I don't think what i want to do is possible though.

    Thanks.
