converting divx movies to dvd/vcd format

Dear Friend,
I have four movies in DIVX format . I needs to convert all these
movies to mpeg format and then to DVD format without loss in quality.
I tried lots software to accomplish the task but however , I am
still unable to complete the task. I tried software " Amor avi divx to mpg dvd
converter ". It fulfills the task however , there is no synchronisation between
dialogues and pictures we see.
Is there any way to convert divx to mpeg format . If so , please
help me to solve the problem .

Preparing 3 in 1 DVD Movie Disc

Dear friend,
I tried to prepare a DVD movie with two films combined as far my own choice . It works out to be successful but however , it is taking too much time for the encoding of the movie into DVD format ( About 1 day as the time is specified while encoding ). There are number of softwares like WinAvi and Nero Recode . I tried with Nero recode software . But due to the long time span , I didnt continued with it .
I will be greatful if you let me to know the software which will
accomplish the same task but will not take a long duration to prepare the
project .

I'm not sure why you would wanna convert to an mpeg first. Go straight from divx to dvd. Try this freeware

You can also use a program called Super (also free). It can convert your avi (divx) to a .vob file. This file can be burned to a dvd using to correct software.

From personal experience, I find converting first to a .vob file yeilds better results.

I'm not sure whats up with the time thing. Typical conversions for me takes between 1-2 hours depending on the size of the file, burning about 20 min or less.

Is there any software which will burn DIVX files to DVD disc in the divx forma tto make it playonto dvd player? (my player supports divx format ) I tried to convert the divx format into dvd , but however problem lies with the fact that there is no sound synchronization.

Why do you need to convert them if your DVD player supports DivX? My stand-alone DVD player will play DivX encoded files with either an .avi extension or a .divx extension.

I use Nero Vision regular and a5Gig file only takes 40 minutes to Author and burn and I have an old PC.
