Thsi just started last week out of the blue, when I close out in IE I get a messge saying IE needs to close or encounterd problems and needs to close. I can either click on end now or wait till it closes showing a bar graph as it is doing it. I have run a virus scan several times and nothing shows up. Someone else said it just a glinch in the windows program, ( I have windows XP ) Is their some way I can fix this?

    Thank You So Much!
    :)

IE 6 or 7 - important to post which you are using.

Did this occur after Patch Tuesday - Feb 13th as there was certainly a cumulative security update for IE 7 that day ? - don't know about IE 6.

I guess you are fully updated ?

There are a couple of approaches to this ....

Firstly disable all IE Add-ons ( Tools > Manage Add-ons) and if the problem is resolved re-enable them one by one and test until the cuprit is found.

The second is to uninstall Windows Internet Explorer 7 through Add/Remove programs which will roll you back to IE 6 - test and then reinstall IE 7.....
