Do I need another spywear?

I have Windows One care and no problems that I know of. Do I need any other spywear etc? Is ther some way to check how good a job onecare is doing?

 

I would consider adding Windows Defender (free) and Spyware Blaster (free). Others, I'm sure, will have you add Ad-aware (free version) and Spybot (free) neither of which I like to use. The above combination should be all you need.

 

one care does include defender.

 

I agree about SpywareBlaster.

But "my opinion" and a lot of Pros, One care leaves a lot to be desired!

But it is better than nothing.

Why take chances, if you install Spybot and Adaware and don't like just uninstall them.

A stand alone (no install) it finds some that others fail to find. XClean_micro does not try to be the "be all, do all" but goes after the worst and most prevelent and leaves the rest for the more comprehensive program like Adaware and Spybot. I use Xclean_micro as a precleaner before Aaware/Spybot!

Run it delete all it finds, deline to reboot after each find, but do so after it finishes

and rerun untill it comes up clean. Even better if second run is in Safe mode.

Install and update go to top and select Advanced mode, but don't run

to run paste the following to the cmd prompt this runs Spybot in max mode that most people do not use and it automaticlly downloads updates

"C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SpybotSD.exe" /autoupdate /autocheck /autofix /autoimmunize

You may just be suprised by what Onecare missed! If not uninsatll them!
