    I have a piece of recruitment software installed on my PC with an access driven frontend and SQL backend on an SQL server within the building. When I load up the application I recieve the following error windows occur in this order;

Java plug in fatal error - twice
then when closed; several java machines are running then java
    runtime errors
then access is not responding and has encountered
a problem and needs to close.
And then the program closes down.

I have all the latest updates for Windows, office and java.

I un-installed the frontend, cleared it from the registry and then re-installed the frontend and am still getting the same messages??

Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks:D

    Hello 3zzi32008

    Welcome to the Board.

Not a lot of info here what OS and sp level.

If XP or 2k then do the following. In the following order.

    get http://www.majorgeeks.com/ATF_Cleaner_d4949.html

    get http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds get Slim Version

Install the above but do not run yet.

Now get latest Java http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Do not install

Go into Add/Remove and un-install all versions of Java

    Reboot

Run ATF-Cleaner select all, 2-3 times until it comes up with no more to clean, then do Opera and FireFox if you have them.

Then run CCleaner repeately until it comes up clean. Then on Lft panel select Registry then Scan for issues, repeatedly until it comes up clean.

Reboot once again then insatall the the downloaded Java.

I think I have downloaded the ATF cleaner now, and I will run this process over the weekend and again, thank you so much for your help.

So am I right to believe that the issue is not with the recruitment software then but more Operating System issues??

    Thanks again. :D

It appears to be with Java! And Likely is!

It may not be, it but this is the next logical step.

Make sure you follow the order I gave.

The CClean and ATF-Clean need to cleanup after the Java is uninstalled and before the new Java is installed.
