    I copied my music collection to sony atrac when I got an Atrac player, now I want to convert them back to mp3.
    How can I do that ?

    According to http://www.poikosoft.com/, it appears to me Easy CD-DA Extractor does not handle Atrac files unless the atrac format file extension (whatever it may be) is listed on that page.

    From what I read at Experts Exchange about Quiz's issue, it appears to me there is not an easy way to convert to Atrac files to mp3. (Scroll waaaay down on the Experts Exchange page I linked to read the discussion without having to register.)

    Appears to me your best option may be to rip your audio CDs to mp3 format, one-by-one.

    I meant, if you look at your player drive in Windows Explorer, what are the file extensions there, mp3?

    Mp3 Converter

    I Have managed to solve this, thanks for your help, Sony do a file converter program for customers that have been using Sonic Stage for their ATTRAC Files but also want to use MP3s on their Walkmans.
    The program scans your computer for ATTRAC files and creates a copy in MP3 format in a folder of your choice :D PERFECT :D
