I need to know how to force Vista to do a fresh file backup. Every time I try, it only will do an Incremental Backup. I need a complete, start again from the beginning, backup. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

I use Home edition where I think the guidance is that if there is no existing backup file, a full backup is done other the backup is incremental.

If this is wrong I'm sure this will generate a correct reply.

Thanks for the reply Daniel. I found the way. In Restore Center, under Backup Files there is an option to Change Settings. A Backup Status window opens and you can choose Change Backup Settings. A few windows further on, you get to a Back Up Files window. Here's where I missed it. There is a little check box near the bottom for "Create a new, full backup now in addition to saving settings." Check that and you can start a new backup. Thanks.
