I tried putting the Firefox application file under Startup in Windows Explorer, but the program still does not start automatically when I start Windows or turn my computer on. How do I do this?

    Thanks for any help.

The first thing that comes to mind is for you to set up a Scheduled Task to launch Firefox every time you log in or the PC starts up.

Go to the Control Panel > Scheduled Task and double-click on Add Scheduled Task. Follow the wizard and choose "Mozilla Firefox" as the program you wish to run.

    cgm707 - Welcome to the Board :)

Did you add firefox to the startup this way.... ?

Right click Taskbar > Properties > Start Menu > Classic Start Menu > Customise > Add > Browse to firefox.exe > OK > Next > Highlight Startup folder > Type Firefox > Finish

Alternatively use CodeStuff Starter - an excellent program for identifying and controlling Startup items and select 'New' from the icon menu.

Thanks, finally got it to work. I didn't realize that I had to create a shortcut, I thought copying and pasting the icon was the same as creating a shortcut.

Tried the Starter program, but keep getting a message that the handle is invalid.
